Golden Silk Orb-weaver Spider Versus Tree Snake

Australia is home ground of many dangerous species, one of them is this Golden Silk Orb-weaver spider, this creature can grow up to 5 to 6.9 centimeter in body length and this spider can spin strings that are strong enough and large enough to reach a diameter. This mean the silk weaved by this creature can withstand much force and can catch bigger preys.

In this case we can see a spider from this specie find a snake in the form of its prey and it is quick enough to grab this opportunity and quickly weaves the snake with its web and makes it its prey. These webs are strong enough to jolt a flying bird and wrangle it in its web and have a nice supper.

The snake here is a tree snake which is half a meter long and that mostly feeds on birds, lizards and other smaller insects and animals. The battle between the spider and snake lasts about and hour and at the end the spider has its prey.
