How to install CyanogenMod on your Android device?

CyanogenMod is an app that will offer a customized open source firmware version of Android for the Android devices, be it a Tab or a Smart phone. CyanogenMod is well known and the most used custom ROM on Android. Flash of ROM has always been a risky thing to be doing since there is a chance of bricking your device, you would knowing this thing if you are accustomed to flashing.
Here are few simple steps which will take less than 10 minutes to complete the process of installing CyanogenMod on your Android device. Make sure you back up your device before stating the installation as this process will reset and delete all the data from your device.

Step 1 – Download the CynogenMod installer to the device
Step 2 – Open a browser in your Windows Computer
Step 3 – Go to the CyanogenMod Windows client download page
Step 4 – Download the client to your Computer and install it
Step 5 – Now connect your Android device to the computer and ensure the USB debugging is turned on
Step 6 – The Software will start downloading automatically
Step 7 – Click on the Install button on the Windows client if you have backed up your device
On finishing all these steps, wait for some time to make sure that your device is installing the new Android OS on it. Later once it is done, the client will automatically install the CyanogenMod that is available for your device. After finishing you will have the option in the setting to update the OS to Nightly versions.
